myString is a flexible, simple to use, process mapping tool. Because we designed it to deliver complete supply-chain traceability, it is able to work inside any manufacturing business...

Universal Process Recording

stringdata
To set up a process in myString, simply define the inputs and the outputs.

stringdata
The flexible and easy to use in-built Question Data Set tool allows you to define questions using Yes / No, custom pick lists (e.g. high, medium, low etc.),  free text (user types in an answer to the question), and date datatypes. It works for any process. You get accurate records of every batch of materials used to make a batch of product, and details of who, when, and how.

For some products we have standard "global" datasets already defined. This ensures that the same information is captured in different supply chains. If you have specific data requirements in your supply chain we can "custom build" datasets just for you and your suppliers to use.

  • great for HACCP and Quality Assurance - easy to implement and completely affordable

Generic Traceability

By linking processes together, the products created by one process can become the raw material inputs for the next. So process AB requires product A and product B to make product AB. Product ABC is made using product AB as an input along with some product C.

This can be within an organisation, or throughout entire supply-chains, with information passing seamlessly between organisations, building value all the way down the chain.

  • provides comprehensive product recall capabilities - maintaining complete confidence and ensuring legal compliance with traceability requirements

Embedded Energy

To calculate the embedded / embodied energy in a product, you need to know its production history right back to raw materials. That history needs to provide details of processes (energy consumption per unit of output etc.) and the materials used in those processes. String is the perfect tool for modeling these processes (desk-based process flow design) in a collaborative way with co-workers anywhere in the world.

  • start working on the marketing issues of the future - raise the bar for your competitors

Labour Standards

So you've done all the audits this year and every factory that makes product for you has passed....but then you get reports of standards not being met. How do you know which batches of product might be affected? Can you still make your normal claims about labour standards on the product range, or do you have to remove it? Wouldn't it be good to know which organisations were involved in producing any given batch / lot of product - instantly?

  • add the missing link to your labour standards programme and secure it's value
