Traceability ExpertsHistoric Futures was founded in 2003 by Tim Wilson and Simon Warrick, with help from a fantastic team of technicians and consultants. Since then we have steadily grown and established ourselves as the leading force in supply chain traceability around the world. Tim has been involved in supply-chain traceability projects for nearly ten years. After working in the software industry for a number of years he co-founded the world’s first supply-chain traceability service provider. This wasn’t big but it was clever, at least it would have been if anyone had known what supply-chain traceability was 10 years ago! What was the key learning from this experience? It is not technology that stands in the way of delivering supply-chain traceability (and with it new value streams, lower business risk and stronger brand reputations), but culture and communications. After eight years successful consulting on corporate transparency and communications, focusing on supply-chains and marketing strategy, e-commerce and business development, the time was right to create HF... Simon has 20 years experience of working on large scale IT projects. He realised that the internet was starting to have an impact on how businesses worked and took the decision to become an independent knowledge systems consultant working for clients such as Motorola and BT. Simon joined Oxford Natural Products in 2002, working alongside Tim to lead the design and development of integrated information services and traceability systems. The HF team also includes Dr Dave Crane, Lead Architect, who most recently authored the best selling technical book “AJAX In Action”. Before joining HF, Dave worked for SmartStream as a senior developer working on systems for Tier 1 Banks. Dave has continually pushed the boundaries of DHTML and is a specialist in web based system development, leading the development team in making our services as widely available and simple as possible to use. Dave regularly presents training courses in AJAX system development and speaks at conferences around the world on the subject. As well as being a software engineer Dave has considerable expertise in the fields of ECCO Modelling and Carbon Emmissions. Paul Chater is HF's Director of Customer Services. He is responsible for developing relationships and driving usage of String with HF's key customers and strategic partners. He has a broad range of experience gained in the UK, Europe and the USA in helping businesses and their customers realise the benefits of adopting innovative technologies. Simon Crossley is Platform Director for HF. His team are responsible for delivering consultancy and online services with members based across the globe. HF couldn’t function without the help of many other people, both here in the UK and around the world. Some of the work is done by our Channel Partners, who have become experts in what we do, and help to pass on the knowledge, training and experience.
